Is this the best that you can do, America?

America I bleed for you, and by association I bleed for the West. This is an *interview* with Noble-prize winning economist Joseph Stiglitz conducted by Trish Regan: a bubble-brained, wide-eyed, piece of know-nothing eye saccharine. Is this the best that you can do America? Is this the best that you can do when you are facing, *and by association*, we in the West are facing the greatest economic crisis since the South Sea Bubble of the early eighteenth century?

Her rudimentary knowledge of the English language allows her to ask questions that prompt Stiglitz to recite well-know economic history. Her rudimentary knowledge of the difference between fact and imagination permit Stiglitz to utter certain opinions. But her crippled and almost nonexistent abilities to enquire, to explore subtleties, and to recognise the occasions for disambiguation within the interview simply waste the opportunity for Stiglitz to present the depth of analysis that is now so deeply needed.

Don't you have someone called Rachel Maddow? Or was that just a pleasant dream from a while ago in another country?
