On Friday, U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson met with mortgage-industry executives to discuss ways to stave off foreclosures. Paulson's idea, which was heralded today by Bush during a press conference, is to extend teaser mortgage rates on adjustable rate loans. Too bad it will do more harm than good.
